I went and I donated plasma today, I enjoy going each week of they give you some money. But I enjoy feeling the joy of helping others as well, plasma is used help other people that are having difficult health conditions. It literally saves, lives for people that have immune or bleeding disorders, those who have genetic emphysema (An heredity condition that may result in serious lung disease in adults and lung and/or liver disease in children and adults.) Plasma is also used for albumin which is used to treat trauma patients, burns and patients that need surgery as well. Plasma goes on and on with the things they use it for medically.
I know most people do just go for money, at first I was too. But when you learn the good part of what you are doing, to save someone else`s life. You look at it in a whole different way, when I had my daughter she was literally 1 pound and 6 ounces. My child needed blood at one point, somebody donated their blood to my child. Of course the hospital already had it, but the point I am trying to make is that. If it was not for who ever decided to donate their blood to begin with one day. My daughter may not have had the blood she needed to survive in that incubator. I know I am not the only one, I think everybody feels good or better about themselves for a moment because they did something good.
I know I do.
