Your soul!

The devil came early to my door one day. He smiled, and told me today was my lucky day. For me he had a gift. The gift I had been after for years.
“Nothing is free what is the price for this gift?”

The room grew a bit darker, he came closer I inched further away. The scariest, but most beautiful thing about him were his eyes. They were making me see things. Hollowed and glowing, I could not believe what I was experiencing in that moment.

“Your soul…. Here in my hands I have a new life. The life you have always deserved, a simple yes if you dare to receive all life has to offer.”

What do I do?… I hear my child’s stomach rumbling and mines following after. Over due bills on the counter, in a house lacking every need to function properly. My wife has worn the same outfits time and time again.

“My soul!” That shook my bones.

Should it really be a concerned if I know where my souls going?

Giving up the offer I`d regret it. Why should Lola have another scarce christmas?

Sucking all the air I could in to my lungs, I exhaled a fearful.

“Yes”
