Frugal Weekends?

It is starting to warm up in Florida, if you are in Jacksonville Fhen you know the weekends are busy with people, and events everywhere. If you are a bit on the frugal side, or simply can not afford what cost big money in our town. Do what is cheap or FREE!

Jacksonville has a beautiful beach, take some time & the whole family for some fun in the sun. Spring is here and Summer is near, the time get out there in those waves is beginning now. The pier is an addition to the beaches atmosphere among the bars,mini shops, hotels, and restaurants. The kids are FREE, pedestrians pay a $1 entry fee, and fisherman pay $4 dollars. Cheap huh? Do not get discourage by the parking there is free parking where you can find it.

If you are in the mood for some nature activities, The Tree Hill Nature Center is around to kill some time. Adult enter for $4 bucks seniors/students/military enter for $3 bucks and children get in for $2. They have live animal displays, 50 acres of trails, and that is just to name a few things the facility has to offer.

My favorite place in Jacksonville to go for a walk and let the kids run free would be. The River Walk it is located downtown, of Jacksonville. It is completely free, you get a great view of the water. Right across the water you can see the Jacksonville Landing which is a great place for even more activities and parents can a get drink while the kids play!

Another one of my drawings….

To make sense of it, I was hurt last night so of course I was in my feelings. I tend to draw things of this nature when I need to visually express myself. I started with a circle and ended with a triangle some how. People have always told me that you can see through someones eyes into their soul, the eye represents that here. A tear for feeling hurt, and allowing myself to be hurt behind things that I just should not allow. The circle is a hole, once you have been through too may bad experiences, that can make it hard to reach your heart. So this swirling hole, is the barrier that gets in the way of new beginnings and forgiveness. Down underneath is my heart, to represent where my happiness, sanity, and everything I no longer am because I have lost my self. It is raining there because I am unhappy in my life at the moment. The spikes represent how I feel my life is just closing in on me, I feel I will not have time in life to enjoy many things that I desire to.
