One of those days
Spinning in my mind I go in circles
Face stained with tear tracks
Longing to make sense of this situation
Each time you do this I am dumbstruck
I thought we were past this
My heart is shattered
You believe your actions have no consequences
Why would you put fear in me?
My man is supposed to shelter me
Respect me!
In your eyes I am wrong for however I feel and whatever I do
Why put me down further than the floor
Howling names at me that we both know are not mine
I stay with you
Hoping this will be the final show
Hands should’ve never touched me
How can I lay eyes on you?
How can you look at yourself?
Love cant live in that
How did you allow anger to become greater than love and treat me that way
As if I have not been the one here with you
Trying to make something from nothing
What we have built is not all your doing
We both contributed
